When Bonzai messages a prospect for your team, you decide what it calls itself and whether it says up front that it's an AI. This article is for the people who manage Bonzai for the organization.
Who can do this: the account owner, the primary Admin, or a user with Manage Bonzai.
Name your assistant
Your assistant is called Bonzai unless you rename it. The name is one setting for the whole organization and applies to texts, follow-ups and calls alike.
- Go to Settings > Bonzai > Identity.
- Under Name, type the name you want, for example Alexis. Leave it empty to keep "Bonzai".
- Click Save changes.
Choose how it introduces itself
The Nudger has its own How Bonzai introduces itself setting at Settings > Bonzai > Nudger. It starts at As you, and most teams keep it.
The setting decides how each follow-up introduces itself. Say a teammate texted Jordan about a pre-approval, Jordan went quiet, and your organization named its assistant Alexis:
- As you reads as the teammate, and says it's an AI only if asked.
"Hey Jordan, just checking in. Still thinking about the pre-approval? No rush either way."
- Bonzai introduces itself by your assistant's name, and mentions being an AI only if asked.
"Hey Jordan, it's Alexis, just checking in. Still thinking about the pre-approval? No rush either way."
- Bonzai, your AI assistant says up front that it's an AI assistant.
"Hey Jordan, it's Alexis, your loan officer's AI assistant. Still thinking about the pre-approval? No rush either way."
