Chat MMI is your personal AI-powered assistant, built directly into the MMI platform. Designed with mortgage professionals in mind, Chat MMI allows you to ask natural language questions about your business, your market, and your opportunities, and get clear, actionable answers instantly.
Whether you want to analyze your past production, find refinance or cash-out opportunities, or scout new real estate agent partners, Chat MMI helps you uncover insights without needing to dig through dashboards or reports.

Inside Bonzo, ChatMMI allows you to:
- Ask questions in plain English
- Run deep searches across MMI data

- Take immediate action on results, such as Exporting or pushing contacts directly into Bonzo
ChatMMI eliminates the need to manually piece together insights from multiple tools and turns complex data workflows into a single, conversational experience.
How to Access ChatMMI in Bonzo
ChatMMI is available directly within Bonzo through the left-hand navigation.
To open ChatMMI:
- Locate the ChatMMI icon in the left-hand navigation, directly beneath Make a Call.
- Click the icon to open the ChatMMI slide-out panel on the right side of your screen.
Once open, you can immediately begin asking questions and running searches.
What You’ll See When You Open ChatMMI
When you open ChatMMI, one of two things will happen depending on whether your Bonzo account is already connected to MMI Data Center.
If You Already Have an MMI Data Center Account
If your account is already connected: The ChatMMI panel will open immediately and can begin asking questions right away.
If you’ve previously accessed MMI Data Center from Bonzo or completed the signup flow, no additional setup is required.
If You Do Not Have an MMI Data Center Account
If you do not yet have an MMI Data Center account, ChatMMI will prompt you to create one before continuing.
The signup process is quick and happens directly inside Bonzo:
- Enter your NMLS ID (optional)
- Accept the terms and conditions
Once completed, your MMI Data Center account is created instantly and ChatMMI becomes available immediately.
This is the same signup flow you would see if you accessed MMI Data Center directly from the bottom of the Bonzo left-hand navigation.
Chat Controls
At the top of the ChatMMI panel, you’ll see two control icons that help you manage your chat experience:
Expand
Selecting the Expand icon opens ChatMMI in its full, standalone experience. This is useful if you want more screen space or access the broader ChatMMI environment outside of the Bonzo side panel.
Refresh Conversation
Selecting the circular refresh icon clears the current conversation and starts a new chat session. This allows you to reset the discussion and ask a fresh question without any prior context influencing the response.
These controls give you flexibility—whether you want to go deeper in a dedicated workspace or quickly reset and refocus your search.
