When importing contacts into Bonzo via a CSV or Excel file, you have two main options for distributing leads to your team:
- Campaign Round Robin – evenly divides leads among selected team members.
- CSV Routing – applies specific, rule-based routing to assign leads.
This article explains when to use each option and how to set them up.
Option 1: Campaign Round Robin
Campaign Round Robin is best when you want to evenly distribute imported leads across a group of users without additional rules.
When to Use
- You want a simple, equal split of leads (e.g., 100 leads split evenly between 4 team members = 25 each).
- You don’t need routing based on attributes like state, loan type, or other conditions.
How to Set It Up
- Go to Data > Import > New Import > Import from File.
- Select the Campaign you want to import into.
- In that campaign’s Settings, go to Campaign Access & Round Robin.
- Enable Round Robin and select the team members who should receive leads.
- Import your file — the system will evenly distribute leads among the selected team members.
Option 2: CSV Routing
CSV Routing is best when you need custom, rule-based distribution of leads.
When to Use
- You want to route leads based on specific criteria, such as:
- State licensing
- Loan type
- Other attributes in your file
- You need to split leads unevenly (e.g., 75% to LO1, 25% to LO2).
How to Set It Up
- Go to Data > Import.
- In the top-right corner, click Options > CSV Routing.
- Click Add Routing and give your routing rule a name (e.g., “Daily Imports”).
- Create a Routing Group:
- Select the Campaign the leads should go into.
- Select the User who should be assigned the leads.
- Click the pencil icon (Edit Group) to add conditions (e.g., State = Ohio).
- Add additional routing groups for other conditions (e.g., State = Michigan → LO2).
- If two routing groups use the same condition (e.g., State = Pennsylvania), you can set percentages to control lead distribution between users.
- Example: LO1 = 50%, LO2 = 50%.
- Example: LO1 = 75%, LO2 = 25%.
7. Save your routing.
8. When importing, in the third step of the import process, select your CSV Routing Rule.
Quick Comparison
| Method | Best For | Distribution Type | Example |
| Campaign Round Robin | Evenly splitting leads among team members | Equal distribution only | 100 leads → 4 users = 25 each |
| CSV Routing | Specific rules based on attributes (state, loan type, etc.) | Flexible, can split unevenly | Ohio → LO1, Michigan → LO2; Pennsylvania split 75/25 |
Summary
- Use Campaign Round Robin if you want even, automatic distribution.
- Use CSV Routing if you need rule-based, conditional routing with more flexibility.
Both tools help ensure that leads are distributed fairly and efficiently depending on your team’s structure and licensing.
