Dedicated IP Addresses in Bonzo
Bonzo’s Email Tab has been redesigned to provide a smoother and more efficient experience, with a new IP Addresses tab to help you manage and optimize your email deliverability. This guide explains how to purchase, configure, and manage Dedicated IP Addresses within Bonzo.
Accessing the IP Addresses Tab
1. Go to Settings and select Email under the Communication tab
2. Navigate to the IP Addresses tab at the top of the page.
How to Purchase a Dedicated IP Address
1. Visit Settings > Add-ons to purchase a Dedicated IP Address.
2. After purchase, IP Addresses tab within the Email Tab will appear allowing you to choose your IP Address and manage them.
Setting Your IP Sending Preference
In the IP Addresses tab, locate the IP Sending Preference section at the top of the page.
Choose one of the following options:
• Shared & Dedicated: Use Bonzo’s shared IPs alongside your dedicated IP for flexibility.
• Dedicated Only: Exclusively use your dedicated IP for the highest email deliverability and control.
Click Save to apply your preference.
Understanding the IP Addresses Page
The IP Addresses page is organized into three sections:
Shared IPs: Displays the default IPs that come with your account type.
Dedicated IPs: Lists the IPs you have purchased and integrated into your Bonzo account.
Available IPs: Shows a list of IPs available for purchase. Simply click the Purchase button next to an IP to add it to your account.
Best Practices for Using Dedicated IP Addresses
To maximize the benefits of Dedicated IP Addresses and maintain optimal email deliverability, follow these best practices:
Evaluate Your Needs:
Bonzo’s shared Bulk Server is sufficient for most users, offering excellent deliverability for standard email campaigns. Consider Dedicated IP Addresses only if your team has specialized needs, such as high-volume email marketing or a requirement for isolated reputation control.
Plan for Warm-Up Periods:
New Dedicated IPs may require a warm-up period to achieve full deliverability potential. During this time, gradually increase the volume of emails sent from the dedicated IP to establish its reputation.
Balance Usage:
For high-volume senders, use both shared and dedicated IPs during the warm-up phase to ensure uninterrupted performance and delivery.
Consider Multiple IPs for Redundancy:
Consider purchasing multiple Dedicated IPs. This strategy provides a backup in case one IP encounters deliverability issues.
