Verification is the process of registering your Bonzo phone number with your business (Level 1, or “Brand” verification) and your messaging use case (Level 2, or “Campaign” verification) with the carriers. This mandatory process enables delivery of your messages to your prospects, facilitating seamless communication. As we will explore in this guide, verification submission is straightforward but requires careful attention to ensure prompt approvals. Our team is available to assist you with any questions or concerns about the process.
Level 1: Verifying Your Brand
"Brand" verification is the initial step for 10DLC (10-digit long code) messaging verification. All Bonzo members must complete this process before sending any messages on the platform. Essentially, "Brand" refers to your "Company." To get started, follow the steps
-
When logging into Bonzo for the first time, you will see banners across the top of your dashboard to start verification. Click the "Learn more" buttons to be taken directly to the verification tab.
Or go to Settings in your sidebar navigation and click on "Verification Hub" under the "Communication" tab.

Carefully fill out the fields in "Business Info," "Address," "Authorized Representative," and "Calling Information."
Business Info: these section requests basic information about your company. Enter the complete legal name of your company in the "Full Legal Name" field, and if applicable, provide any alternate names your company operates under in the "DBA" field. If you will be sending messaging under a DBA that is not your legal company name it is critically important to include these DBA names here. Failure to do so can cause message filtering and blocking by the carriers. Next, select the registration type of your company from the "Type" dropdown menu. In the "Vertical" field, choose the business sector your company operates in, most often "Financial." The "EIN" (Employer Identification Number) is a 9-digit number assigned by the IRS and can be found on your tax documents, typically provided by your HR or accounting department. Provide an accurate estimate of your current number of employees in the "Employee Count" field. Lastly, for the "Website" field, copy and paste your company's URL directly from your browser into Bonzo.
Address: this section requests information about your company's HQ address. This info. is closely associated with the company EIN and can most likely be found on your tax documents, typically provided by your HR or accounting department.
Authorized Representative: this section requests information about you the company representative who is providing company information and initiating verification. For the "Job Position" field, if the jobs listed in the dropdown do not directly apply, select CEO.
Calling Information: this section requests details about how your company operates and plans to use Bonzo. In the "Calling Use-Case" field, select the appropriate option from the dropdown menu that best describes your calling needs, such as "Customer Support." For "Intended Daily Calls," provide an accurate estimate or a range of daily calls, for example, "50-100." Lastly, in the "Use-Case Description" field, include any additional information that explains how your company intends to use Bonzo, such as "answering customer questions and concerns, and providing support."
-
Once you complete the form and click "Verify," your Verification Hub will update to display a series of checkpoints. As each checkpoint is cleared, a green check mark will appear next to it.
-
If your Brand Status is not approved, you will receive a red x next to the checkpoint. This is most commonly due to incorrect information being copied to the verification form. At this point our team at Bonzo will reach out to clarify the issue and ask you to resubmit your verification.
Level 2: Verifying Your Campaign
"Campaign" verification pertains to validating your messaging use case, defining the types of messages you will send and how recipients can opt-in and opt-out. Fortunately, this process is handled automatically once your brand is approved, so there is no need to submit any additional information.
If there is an issue with the information submitted in the verification process you may hear from a member of our team to collect the correct information, and occasionally documents such as your company's CP-575 if EIN verification is needed for the registration process.
Verification in Bonzo ensures that your messages are reliably delivered to your prospects by registering your business and messaging use case with the carriers. This process enhances communication efficiency and reduces the risk of messages being marked as spam. The submission process is straightforward and can be completed quickly with careful attention to detail, ensuring prompt approvals.
