Local Presence is an add-on feature in Bonzo that helps you establish a local connection with prospects by offering a selection of phone numbers with different area codes. When you make an outbound call, Bonzo analyzes the area code of the person you're calling and automatically chooses a number from your Local Presence list that matches or closely resembles that area code, making it appear as though you're calling from a local number.
-
To get started, you must first purchase the addon feature. Navigate to "Settings," down to the "Company" tab, and click on "Addons."
Click the "+" symbol next to the feature, then scroll to the bottom and select "Update Add-ons" to enable Local Presence for you and your team.
-
After purchasing Local Presence, you can find it by going to your "Settings," selecting the "Communication" tab, and clicking on "Voice and Messaging." About halfway down the page, you'll see the "Local Presence" option. Click on "Details" to manage the feature.
-
After clicking on "Details," you'll be taken to the Local Presence page, where you can view a map showing the states where you have Local Presence numbers, along with their status (ready, partially ready, or pending)
By scrolling further down the page, you will be able to see a complete list of your Local Presence numbers. It's important to note, larger states provide additional Local Presence options.
-
By selecting states on the map, you can prioritize them and check the availability of your Local Presence numbers in those areas.
For example, if your default Bonzo number has a Georgia area code but you also work in Alabama, South Carolina, and Florida, Local Presence will allow you to use a local number when calling prospects in those states. This can help build trust and increase the likelihood of the prospect answering your call.
-
When calling a prospect in these areas, Bonzo will automatically use the Local Presence number for the outbound calls. To use in an Auto-dial session, you must select the option found at the bottom of the auto-dial screen, "Use Local Presence."
However, it's important to note that Local Presence only applies to outgoing calls. Text messaging and ongoing communications will still use your default Bonzo number, so when you need to continue a conversation or add a contact to a campaign, the prospect will see your standard Bonzo number, not the local option.
-
Team members share all Local Presence numbers. Once contact has been made with the Local Presence number, if the prospect calls the number back, the conversation will be routed directly to the prospect owner's default Bonzo number.
For example, if Dan and Sarah are both calling prospects in Philadelphia, they could the same Local Presence number in that state. If a prospect calls Dan back on the Local Presence number, it will be routed to Dan's default Bonzo number.
Given this functionality, it's recommended that team members provide prospects with their default Bonzo number after the initial contact, ensuring that the prospect recognizes the number in future text messages and campaign communications.
Local Presence is a powerful Bonzo feature that enhances your connection with prospects by using local area codes for outbound calls, increasing the chances of your calls being answered. This feature not only helps you build trust but also gives you a competitive edge in reaching more prospects effectively.
